Lady Gaga: She will always be second best

Time Magazine released the "Most Influential People of the Decade" and Lady Gaga came in at No.2.  The top position went to Burmese freedom fighter Aung San Suu Kyi.  Here's the kicker.  The list was put together through public votes.  So obviously her fans swayed this list in Gaga's favour, likely voting more than once.   In the end, politics, intelligence and justice prevailed.

Here's another huge, massive, neon sign flashing kicker.  Seeing that we're not even half way through 2013 and it's only year three of the decade, the entire poll is a sham.  Wouldn't it make more sense to vote for the most influential person of the decade at, oh I don't know, the end of the decade?

Anything the public votes for when it comes to popular culture shouldn't be taken seriously.  The votes are swayed for what is popular at the moment.  Let's revisit this again in 2020 (yikes!).  Until then, take these results with the finest grain of salt you can find.

Moving on......
